This award-winning adventure series brings more thrill and prizes

‘AirAsia Thrill’ partners with Go Pro and North Face

The first season of “AirAsia Thrill” was successful, to say the least. Bagging a silver award for Brand Storytelling at the 16th Asia Pacific Tambuli Awards, the series gained a following of adventure seekers who wanted to widen their knowledge about extreme outdoors adventures.

As the series got renewed for a new season, “AirAsia Thrill” did not only gain more audiences but partners as well as they have teamed up with GoPro and North Face for this season. The show, which premiered last Oct. 5, is still hosted by AirAsia’s very own in-house thrill-seekers, first officer Rod de Lara and senior cabin crew Bien Geronimo. They are also joined by other GoPro content creators in experiencing not just international escapades, but also local adventures in Cebu, Clark, Puerto Princesa, Bacolod, and Dumaguete.

“Storytelling through engaging content has always been central to the mandate of the Air Asia branding team,” AirAsia Philippines Head of Branding David Viray shared. “Among our key goals in creating entertaining and engaging content is to educate our market on the new possibilities present in our destinations – especially now that travel is on a rebound. We are excited about launching this new season for we have gone bigger and better in the number of activities, locations, and even episodes. To celebrate this, we are also hosting a contest with all the fans of the show. Go and chill with AirAsia Thrills.”

New episodes are set to premiere weekly every Wednesday on AirAsia Philippines’ official Facebook page until Jan. 4, 2023. The highlights for this season include new extreme activities such as surfing, canyoneering, free diving, and ultralight aircraft flying in the Philippines and around the Asean region, including Langkawi and Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia; and Lombok and Bali Indonesia.
