Featuring local artist Von Alcantara for the Maker Lab Series
Last month, Adidas delighted Filipino fans with the launch of its newest membership program Adiclub. This July, following the successful introduction, the brand continues its offerings and support to the local fashion industry with a collaboration with internationally-acclaimed artist Von Alcantara.
Von “V.O.N.” (Very Own Name) Alcantara is a self-taught multi-media artist who has worked with global brands like Sega, Capcom, Sony, and Illest. Von started his collab with Adidas back in 2021 where he helped design the store’s brand center. And as the first artist to be featured in the Adiclub x Maker Lab Series, he will be sharing his creativity through the brand for the Filipino community. The collaboration will feature stickers and patches reimagining the Adiclub logo which members can avail and style their Adidas pieces like t-shirts, tote bags, shorts, and other pieces.
“I’ve always been a fan of Adidas and to be working with the brand again— this time as the first local artist for the Maker Lab is very exciting for me,” says Von. “I especially enjoyed the process of creating and playing with the logos because each design is unique and tells a different story that I know people will be able to relate to.”
“We at Adidas consistently look for opportunities that will allow us to relate more with the Filipinos and to make their Adidas experience uniquely theirs,” says Adidas Philippines Brand Communications and Sports Marketing Manager JD Cortez. “And with this upcoming collaboration with V.O.N. for the Adiclub x Maker Lab Artist Series, we assure that Adidas fans will not only be able to unlock the best of Adidas, but also express themselves. Because Adiclub is for everyone, and in Adiclub there is something for every member.”
The collaboration with V.O.N for the Adiclub x Maker Lab Artist Series drops on July 22 at the Adidas Brand Center, wherein 12 new designs inspired by the Philippines, Japan, and Korea will be available for customers to choose from.
