Givenchy and Disney teams up for a limited-edition capsule

Inspired by Matthew M. Williams’ favorite characters

A first of its kind, Givenchy taps the magical world of Disney for a limited-edition capsule of luxury ready-to-wear pieces featuring iconic and most-loved Disney characters. 

The pieces in the collection were designed by the French fashion house’s creative director Matthew M. Williams and inspired by his favorite characters. Titled “The Wonder Gallery,” the imaginary realm located between Paris and Los Angeles, the collection features t-shirts and sweatshirts sporting recognizable Disney characters’ silhouettes and Givenchy’s insignias.

“Disney has always held a special place in my heart, as it has for so many across generations, countries, and cultures,” shares Matthew. “As a boy from California and a father in Paris, Disney has always been a source of meaningful moments throughout my life. it’s a true honor to bring out two iconic brands.”

In collaboration with artists from Disney, fan favorites like Bambi, Perdita, Pongo from 101 Dalmatians, Elsa, and Olaf were easily made recognizable through their silhouettes. As for Givenchy, the 4G emblem and signature padlock motif of the house appeared as recurring elements in the collection.
