Xbox celebrates 20th anniversary with new Adidas collaboration

Here’s a closer look at Forum with an Xbox twist

Back in November 2001, Microsoft first introduced the Xbox console to gamers and after 20 years, Xbox is still one of the most popular and most coveted consoles there is. Marking its two decades of success, the gaming brand is stepping it up with a collaboration with another popular brand, Adidas.

“Adidas and Xbox are running it back twenty years to where a new generation began. And just like games are meant to be played, shoes are meant to be played in,” shares Xbox on their Youtube channel. “From the concrete to the couch and beyond. That’s why Adidas and Xbox are coming together to bring you the next level of play with a series of Adidas Originals by Xbox sneakers.”

For their first shoe collab, (yes, there will be more) the link-up will be producing the Xbox 20th Forum Tech which is an iteration of the footwear model that comes in translucent green details inspired by the release of the original Xbox video game “Halo: Combat Evolved” back in 2001.

In the coming months, Xbox announced that they would be launching additional sneakers inspired by the past and present models of Xbox console games in further celebration of their anniversary.
