Bretman Rock makes history as the first gay man to grace Playboy’s cover
The Fil-Am social media personality continues to break gender barriers
“I’m a BUNNY duh,” said social media star Bretman Rock as he announced on Instagram that he is headlining the October 2021 issue of Playboy, making him the first gay man to be on the cover of the iconic magazine.
“For Playboy to have a male on the cover is a huge deal for the LGBT community, for my brown people community and it’s all so surreal. A total ‘is this even fucking happening right now?’ type of vibe. And I’m so pretty,” the Fil-Am influencer said.
In the series of photographs captured by Brian Ziff, Bretman is seen wearing the classic bunny suit, previously worn by other male stars such as Steve Martin, Ezra Miller, Paul Rudd, Johnny Carson, Burt Reynolds, and Flip Wilson. Completing his ensemble are shoes from Versace, stockings by Elliana Capri, and custom accessories by D.bleu.dazzled. In another look, he is giving Cher vibes with a fringed, crystal veil matching his bedazzled lips.
Bretman joins the likes of supermodels Kate Moss and Kylie Jenner and country music icon Dolly Parton on being featured on the magazine’s cover.
