LOOK: The Simpsons are wearing Balenciaga’s latest collection
The whole Springfield community, Anna Wintour, and Demna Gvasalia are all in the show
For the Spanish house’s summer 2022 collection, Balenciaga gets into the world of “The Simpsons” as beloved characters of the iconic cartoon series dressed up in the latest fashions.
The cute 10-minute skit was about Marge Simpson’s birthday wish of wearing Balenciaga and how Homer made it happen. In the presentation, Demna made Marge’s dreams come true and more. He flew all of Springfield to Paris, France for the show all the while making them models for his latest collection.
Bart, Lisa, Maggie, Marge, and Homer walked the runway giving personality to the pieces. Homer wore an oversized red puffer jacket, black trousers, and eyewear on the runway while Marge closed the show with a gold gown with a gigantic bow on the back, which made Anna Wintour tear up. The skit ended with the family on the boat drinking at the after-party while singing “La Mer.”
