LOOK: Wearable art collaboration from Sacai and Kaws
We’re having a major eye-gasm!
Kaws fans, it’s time to invest in these wearable pieces of art from their collaboration with fashion brand Sacai. In an Instagram post, Sacai shared a video where models slid off artworks only to reveal they’re wearing the artworks themselves. In the last few frames of the video, a model emerges in a colorful coordinate of turtleneck and skirt before the stylized Sacai logo with Kaws’ “XX” motif appears.
Available starting July 16, 2021 globally, the pieces include mens, womens, and even kids’ items. Sacai apparels such as jackets, shirts, t-shirts, hoodies, and bags will be getting Kaws’ artistic treatment. The key themes that will run across the collection are bold and bright multi-colored design and more understated camouflage patterns and colorways. Kaws fans will also recognize the “X” across the range of apparel, a signature of the design from the brand.
