MUST-HAVE: Dior Oblique accessories in five vibrant colors for summer
Check out the limited-edition Dior World Tour collection
One of Christian Dior’s most iconic signature patterns is the Dior Oblique, named after the fall-winter 1950-1951 collection. In 1967, Dior creative director Marc Bohan created the print for the house’s spring-summer 1969 haute couture line.
When John Galliano took the reins at Dior, the canvas was splashed into streetwear. Today, Maria Grazia Chiuri has been reigniting the love for Dior Oblique as it appears on apparel, accessories, footwear, and even Vespa scooters.
Now, Kim Jones, Dior menswear creative director, unveils his latest innovation with one of fashion’s most successful patterns. The Dior World Tour collection revisits the Dior Oblique motif with accessories dipped in five vibrant colors: yellow, red, blue, green, and black. In the collection, “the B27 sneakers are reinvented in a unique perforated leather reflecting innovative savoir-faire, while a cardholder, a clutch, and a Saddle belt bag complete this exclusive line.”
Take your style cues from EXO member Sehun as he poses for GQ Korea in Dior fall 2021 by Kim Jones in collaboration with Kenny Scharf. In a social media post by the brand, the K-Pop star is seen “sporting a #DiorOblique ‘Dior Lock’ bag, appliqué leather jacket, and sweater with a motif by the artist based on Chinese astrology.”
