Global Asian Model Finals

Empire.ph, spearheaded by Jonas Antonio Gaffud the brand’s President and CEO, brings you the first Global Asian Model World search, a competition envisioned to elevate the prestige of modeling and fashion in Asia.

A diverse cast of 38 candidates from 20 countries will compete for the title of Global Asian Model from November 16 to 21 at Cove Manila in Okada. This inaugural event was created to put the Asian heritage – with its Eurasian, American Asian, African Asian, and other variants – in the global spotlight.

Philippine representatives Ella Lubag and Vince Marcelo have become, by joining the competitions, ambassadors of Filipino hospitality. They attest to the idea that Asia, with its many seasoned models, has become the forefront of fashion.

When the contestants arrived on November 16, they were welcomed with a dinner together with the press in Cove Manila. The candidates will be going through several activities, such as photo and film shoots, and workshops.

On the night of November 21, one male and one female candidate will be awarded as winners, with cash prizes and guaranteed contracts from modeling agencies abroad. The winners will have a chance to be scouted by agencies from US and Europe, as the contest’s judges are from well-renowned agencies Industry Models and Ford Models in Los Angeles.
