BATA HERITAGE POP-UP SHOP

As part of its 120th anniversary celebration in 2014, Bata had launched Bata Heritage, a special line of sneakers that were inspired by iconic and vintage pieces from the brand archives. Fast forward to the past week, and Bata brought its Bata Heritage pop-up shop to SM Makati, carrying the newest versions of the Tennis, Bullets, Hotshot, and Safari shoes. Also on display were pairs from past Bata collaborations with Astroboy, Comme des Garçons, and Peanuts.

CRATE AND BARREL EARLY CHRISTMAS LAUNCH

Crate and Barrel prepares for the (in)famously drawn-out Filipino Christmas celebration with the launch of its Christmas deals and gifts for shoppers. For a minimum amount of purchase, customers will receive freebies from the store, such as wine glass writers, porcelain condiment spoons, and cocktail glasses. Adding to the holiday spirit are in-store treats and goodies (cookies and hot cocoa, anyone?), plus live musical performances.

 

JAKE GYLLENHAAL FOR ETERNITY CALVIN KLEIN CAMPAIGN

Calvin Klein announced Jake Gyllenhaal as the face of its latest campaign for its award-winning fragrance Eternity Calvin Klein, alongside supermodel Liya Kebede and four-year-old actress Leila. The three represent the multicultural family of the 21st century.

The campaign consists of ads, both for print and TV, that will run starting this month. The new campaign speaks of the design house’s “longstanding ideas on romance, love, intimacy, and commitment,” according to the company’s statement, and is set in today’s time and with today’s type of family. The campaign was shot by photographer Willy Vanderperre.

ADIDAS ORIGINALS BY ALEXANDER WANG SEASON 2, DROP 2

The second installment of season two of the latest streetwear collaboration drops this weekend at the Alexander Wang and adidas Originals websites and select stores worldwide. The new collection is said to be inspired by bike messengers and their energy, while also alluding to the zest of today’s youth. The collection is comprised of slides, sneakers, running shoes, hoodies, jackets, t-shirts, and track pants.
