Relax, it’s Prada

Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons deliver a dreamy summer escape, where silhouettes are slimmer and calm is the dress code

Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons literally said: easy, breezy, nonchalance vacation as they unveiled Prada’s spring-summer 2026 at the industrial Fondazione Prada, transformed into a surreal summer scape. Imagine huge floral rugs underfoot and meditative wave sounds in the air—this was not just fashion, it was a mood.

The duo titled the collection “A Change of Tone,” and tone it did shift to something lighter, cooler, and altogether more relaxed. Models as slinky as the silhouettes they wore floated down the runway, echoing the soft flow of ocean breeze in everything from fabric to energy.

Shorts were a non-negotiable, but not just any shorts. We’re talking micro shorts: puffed and cinched, like vintage bloomers gone chic. Meanwhile, pants gave ankles their long-overdue moment, cropped and flared in pastel hues that scream gelato by the pier.

Feet were not left out of the fun either. Slinky thong sandals in candy shades brought a pop of playful color, while slim, minimal sneakers and loafers nodded to skate culture with Prada polish.

Accessories kept the mood intentional and unfussy. Straw hats came with a twist with some literally swirling down to frame the face like soft sculptures, others resembling whimsical lampshades. Backpacks made a case for stylish utility, ready to follow wherever that breezy vacation vibe leads.

So, are we finally waving goodbye to the bulky, chunky era? If Prada SS26 is any indicator, the answer is yes—and we’re slipping into something a lot more calm, cool, and streamlined.
