LOOK: Converse digs into the archives for new collection

Heritage kicks that keep it casual
Running might be your thing—or maybe you’re just running late to brunch. Either way, Converse is stepping up with its Retro Running Collection, and it’s bringing some serious sole. The brand is pulling classics from the vault and giving them a refresh that’s less about breaking records and more about turning heads.
This spring, the lineup includes three new silhouettes: the Wave Trainer, Omni Trainer, and Omega Trainer. All are rooted in vintage Converse designs from the ‘80s, but updated so fans can actually wear them without needing a time machine.
These aren’t just performance shoes—they’re lifestyle-ready. Perfect for your post-run coffee, your pretend-you-go-running walks, or just adding a little retro flair to your fit.

Wave Trainer – Inspired by a 1989 original, this one’s all about that old-school cool. Dual-layer suede, mesh uppers, and retro colorways keep the vibes vintage, while CX foam and a cushy sole make sure your feet don’t feel like they’re stuck in the past.

Omni Trainer – A remix of the 1984 Equinox, it’s part rugged, part sporty, and 100% wearable. Nylon ripstop and suede overlays give it structure, and yes, your arches will thank you for the CX foam midsole.

Omega Trainer – Lightweight and low-key, this pair pulls from the 1984 Thunderbolt and 1985 Gazelle. It features a woven poly sport upper, suede accents, and an EVA midsole built for all-day comfort without the bulk.

And because Converse loves a good remix, this season also features two fun collabs: A new Golf Wang drop brings the One Star CC Slip Pro into the spotlight. It’s a laid-back slip-on with earthy tones and skate-ready vibes. Think blues like overcast skies, greens like forest trails, and blacks like fresh soil, think of it as a stylish dirt.
There’s also a Tom and Jerry collection—playful, nostalgic, and perfect if your sneaker game is more “Saturday morning cartoons” than “Sunday long run.”
Converse is available in Powerplant mall, select Ayala Malls, SM Malls, Robinsons Department Stores.
