Vanac returns: A timepiece paying tribute to Tokyo’s spirit

Marking the next chapter in King Seiko’s legacy

More than 50 years after its debut, the King Seiko Vanac returns in 2025, seamlessly blending classic heritage with modern innovation. Originally launched in 1972, the Vanac was renowned for its bold, multifaceted designs. Now, it reemerges with sharp angularity, a bezel-less case, and a refined bracelet that combines mirror and hairline finishes for a sophisticated look.

The new Vanac’s dial reflects the dynamic Tokyo skyline. Its horizontal stripe pattern and deep-set indices create a sense of depth, while the distinctive “V” motif at 12 o’clock and on the seconds hand pays homage to the collection’s name. Three striking colorways capture different moments of Tokyo’s ambiance: Purple evokes twilight’s rich hues, Navy represents midnight’s serene depth, and Silver embodies the first light of dawn.

Powered by the Caliber 8L45, the Vanac offers a 72-hour power reserve and +10 to -5 seconds per day accuracy. This high-performance movement is visible through King Seiko’s first-ever see-through sapphire case back, showcasing Seiko’s meticulous mechanical craftsmanship.

SLA091 – Relaxing by a stunning infinity pool with panoramic views of a vibrant city skyline

Beyond the main collection, two exclusive models enhance the Vanac’s allure. The Limited Edition, with only 700 pieces available, features a golden dial reflecting the Tokyo sunrise, with matching golden accents on the dial and case back. The Boutique Exclusive presents an ice-blue dial inspired by Tokyo’s skyline on a bright, clear day.
