Peak perfection: Moncler’s Les Sommets fragrance collection reaches new heights

Moncler brings the spirit of the mountains to the skin with ultra-luxurious scents, including the fresh new Ciel d’Hiver
Born in the mountains, worn on the streets—Moncler has been the epitome of winter luxury for over 70 years. But in 2021, the Italian fashion house decided to bottle up its alpine essence, venturing into the world of designer fragrances. Fast forward to 2023, and Moncler took things up a notch with Les Sommets, a collection of ultra-luxurious scents inspired by the raw beauty of mountain landscapes.
The collection debuted with five standout fragrances: Haute Montagne, La Cordée, Le Bois Glacé, Le Solstice, and Les Roches Noires. Now, there’s a fresh new face in the lineup—Ciel d’Hiver, a neroli-forward scent tailor-made for summer’s rising heat.
Inspired by crisp alpine air and the boundless beauty of snow-covered peaks, Ciel d’Hiver captures that fleeting moment when the winter sun hits the summit, turning icy landscapes into shimmering gold. Crafted by master perfumers Ilias Ermenidis and Nathalie Lorson, this eau de parfum is an artful balance of freshness, florals, and woods—a sophisticated blend that feels soft and airy.
It opens with a burst of neroli, brightened by pink pepper and yellow mandarin, mimicking the exhilarating freshness of high-altitude air. As the scent settles, the warmth of Ambrox Super adds a soft, musky-woody embrace. Finally, a sensual base of sandalwood and ambrette gives the fragrance its signature depth, all while letting neroli’s radiance take center stage.
Before Ciel d’Hiver, Moncler’s Les Sommets collection had already established itself as a force in luxury perfumery. Each scent in the lineup pays homage to nature’s elements, offering a unique olfactory experience:
Haute Montagne – A warm, woody vanilla that feels like cashmere in a bottle.
La Cordée – A woody-citrus blend with black tea and cypress, perfect for adventurers.
Le Bois Glacé – An icy-fresh woody fragrance led by Haitian vetiver.
Le Solstice – A creamy mix of sandalwood and iris, smooth as freshly fallen snow.
Les Roches Noires – A patchouli-heavy scent wrapped in a seductive amber accord.
Les Sommets fragrances don’t just smell divine—they look the part, too. Each scent is housed in a semi-transparent amber bottle, inspired by old-world apothecary bottles. Not just for show, this tinted glass also protects the perfume from light, ensuring its longevity. Adding to the experience, every bottle is adorned with a delicate calligraphy of the scent profile and encased in an elegant black box embossed with wood grain, a nod to the fragrances’ natural inspirations.
Ciel d’Hiver and the rest of the Les Sommets collection are available now for P11,600 per bottle at Rustan’s.
