Turn back time with this new Y2K-inspired watch
Baby G launches BGD-10K inspired by the 2000s
Y2K fashion is synonymous with a fun, playful, and colorful style. Recently, brands have been recycling this style, applying it to apparel, makeup, hairstyles, and accessories.
One brand adapting this look is the watch brand Baby G. To celebrate their 30th anniversary, they’re launching a new collection from the Baby G Plus series, which draws inspiration from the bold and vibrant Y2K style, translating it into timepieces and accessories that shaped the fashion and technology of the millennium.
The star of the collection is the Baby G 10K, a compact digital watch and case holder set that offers versatility and customization. The watch can be worn as is or detached from the band and placed in the silicone holder to become a charm. For the display, the upper right LCD rotates every 30 seconds through five retro-style pixel-art animations featuring a cast of characters, including a dog and cat, adding a fun and nostalgic touch. The cases can also be customized with stickers for a more fun and personal approach. Aside from these fun features, the Baby G 10K is also durable, boasting 100-meter water resistance and shock-proof capabilities.
The new BABY-G+ BGD-10K is available in all authorized G-SHOCK Stores nationwide and at www.casio.com/ph.
