What is the main concern of men getting fillers?
Men are mainly concerned about thinning lips and wrinkles/aging lips. Like skin, lips experience a decline in hyaluronic acid and collagen production over time, leading to wrinkles. Other factors, such as smoking, can further impact lip appearance.
Who are not qualified to get lip fillers? Are there any age limits?
Minors and patients with autoimmune disorders are not eligible for lip fillers.
What can men expect during the procedure? Is there any pain or preparation needed?
Patients may experience some bruising and swelling. Generally, the treatment is comfortable due to the use of topical anesthesia/lidocaine. However, it is best to avoid alcohol a day before the procedure, as it might reduce the anesthesia’s effectiveness.
How long do these fillers last?
Fillers typically last six to twelve months.
What is your recommendation for men’s lip style?
Men’s lips should look wider rather than centrally plump, as is often preferred for women. They should complement a wider chin, maintaining a 1:1 ratio between the upper and lower lip.
