Garage tries: The potent combination of Potenza and Exosomes

This facial simultaneously injure and rejuvenate skin cells

Have you ever come across the saying, “Be high maintenance to be low maintenance”? This belief underpins a simple truth in the cosmetic world: investing in professional treatments can save you time, money, and energy in the long run.

The beauty industry offers an abundance of topical options for maintaining and improving skin health. While some may be effective, they often require time to yield results compared to advanced treatments performed in dermatology clinics.

Although aging is inevitable, premature aging is something everyone seeks to avoid. That’s why skin rejuvenation ranks high on the cosmetic industry’s agenda. Due to various environmental factors, genetics, and lifestyle choices, our bodies produce fewer renewed skin cells as we age. Consequently, cell regeneration slows down, leading to issues like sagging skin, enlarged pores, wrinkles, inflammation, uneven skin tone, and texture.

One treatment gaining traction in addressing these concerns is the potent combination of Potenza and Exosomes, which simultaneously injure and rejuvenate skin cells.

Potenza utilizes 21 micro-needles known as the Fusion Tip, coupled with thermal stimulation from Radio Frequency (RF). Meanwhile, Exosomes, derived from ethically harvested placenta, umbilical cord, and bone marrow, are applied to the skin before penetrating the dermal layers. This treatment stimulates cell turnover, boosts collagen production for increased skin elasticity, tightens pores for smoother skin, and results in an overall youthful appearance.

During consultations, Ms. Pierrie Docong, a skin consultant at Facial Care Centre, noted common concerns for men such as acne, texture irregularities, and enlarged pores, all of which can be effectively addressed with this combination treatment. The premise is that the treatment induces “injuries” to the skin, triggering the body’s natural healing response and collagen production. Exosomes act as messengers, signaling other cells to facilitate regeneration and rejuvenation. Potenza’s Fusion Tip enhances Exosome penetration, resulting to 67 percent more absorption than other devices.

Face applied with Mesonumb vs. after the procedure

The procedure begins with facial cleansing, followed by the application of topical anesthesia called Mesonumb, which is stronger than conventional numbing creams. After an hour, the session begins with Exosome application, followed by 1000 shots administered to the entire face and neck. The technician targets specific areas starting from the temples, then moving to the nose, jaw, cheeks, and repeating on the other side of the face while the remaining shots are administered to the neck, lasting for 30 to 40 minutes in total.

Pain levels vary from person to person, typically ranging from one to six on a scale of 10, depending on the targeted facial area. Areas with prominent bone structures, such as the forehead, temples, cheekbones, nose, and chin, may feel more discomfort. However, for other parts of the face and neck, the sensation is minimal, akin to pressure from the tool. Bleeding is minimal and comparable to that of a popped pimple, varying from person to person.

One day after the treatment vs. one week after the treatment

Following the procedure, the therapist cleanses the face, removes any residual blood, and applies the remaining Exosomes. It’s advisable to refrain from washing the face for 24 hours to allow the Exosomes to penetrate deeply.

Within two hours post-procedure, redness begins to subside, with no residual pain or stinging once the numbing agent wears off. After four days, the skin is almost back to normal with minimal markings, especially on the neck area. After a week, noticeable improvements include a brighter complexion and smoothened skin, both to sight and touch.

For optimal results, especially in treating pitted scars, three to five sessions spaced three to five weeks apart are recommended.

Potenza RF Microneedling and AnteAGE MDX Exosomes are available at Facial Care Centre.
