The first quarter of the year holds significance for Samsung, as for many years now, the brand has unveiled their Galaxy Unpacked event during this period. In 2024, the electronics brand livestreamed one of their most anticipated events—the unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series.
The brand introduced three smartphones for this event: theGalaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and, the most notable of the three, the S24 Ultra. This smartphone marks a significant milestone as the first-ever Galaxy phone to feature a titanium frame, enhancing device durability and longevity.
Beyond the product specifications, the main selling point of this release is the power of AI.

Galaxy AI introduces meaningful intelligence aimed at enhancing every aspect of life, including “Live Translate”—a two-way, real-time voice and text translation of phone calls within the native app. It also supports “Interpreter,” where live conversations can be instantly translated on a split-screen view, allowing people standing opposite each other to read a text transcription of what the other person has said, even without cellular data or Wi-Fi.
The inclusion of “Note Assist” in Samsung Notes allows the AI to summarize and streamline notes for a brief preview. For voice recordings with multiple speakers, “Transcript Assist” uses AI and Speech-to-Text technology to transcribe, summarize, and even translate recordings.
The Galaxy S24 also marks a milestone in search history as the first phone to debut the intuitive, gesture-driven “Circle to Search” with Google. By performing a long press on the home button, users can circle, highlight, scribble on, or tap anything on the Galaxy S24’s screen to see helpful, high-quality search results.
Another innovation that the Galaxy S24 series focuses on is the Galaxy AI Editing Tools, enabling users to edit photographs, including erasing, re-composing, and remastering images. The option called “Edit Suggestion” uses Galaxy AI to suggest perfectly suitable tweaks for each photo.
In terms of security, the brand empowers users with Samsung Knox, Galaxy’s way of safeguarding critical information, providing protection against vulnerabilities with end-to-end secure hardware, real-time threat detection, and collaborative protection.
