Iris Van Herpen collaborates with Aveda for a one-of-a-kind capsule
Regularly seen on red carpets worn by A-list celebrities, Iris Van Herpen’s intricately detailed creations have become recognizable wearable form of art. This holiday season, the Dutch design house partners with American cosmetics company Aveda for a collection of gift sets inspired by haute couture and nature.
The capsule includes limited-edition high-style hair accessories, luxurious skin and body care formulas, plant-powered hair care products all-wrapped in designer gift packaging conceptualized by Iris herself.
“This collection captures a future-forward vision for the holidays and embodies the limitless beauty of nature,” shares Iris van Herpen. “The visual inspiration of this collection was drawn from the relationships between living organisms and their physical environments in all its layers and nuances – a constant dialogue between nature and ourselves.”
Available for the gift sets include the Nutriplenish line to aid in hair hydration, Botanical repair line for hair strengthening, Smooth infusion line for sleek and well-behaved mane, and Invati Advanced line for fuller hair and healthier scalp.
For hair accessories, limited-edition hair pins and hair cuff are also sold. The Henosis Hair Pin Set features a design inspired by the Greek concept of oneness and union. The Lagoon Nebula Hair Cuff Set on the other hand is inspired by an interstellar cloud made to elevate a hair updo.
As for the pouch, it is designed with an inspiration coming from the state of being where different species live together.
In line with Aveda’s sustainability efforts, the packaging of the holiday sets are made with FSC-certified recycled paper and can be displayed as miniature works of art. For the accessories, the hair cuff and hair pins are made from recyclable gold tone brass, and the cosmetic pouch is made from 65 percent post-consumer recycled materials.
