LOOK: Aape and Vans unite to create a street culture enthusiast’s dream capsule
Don’t miss out on this collaborative camouflage collection
Once reserved for disguise, camouflage, or fatigue patterns, it has now evolved into one of the most recognizable patterns in public and street culture. Pulling it off may not be a walk in the park, but when you do, it can significantly elevate your OOTD game.
This season, two iconic brands have joined forces to create a collection that pays homage to this celebrated pattern. Vans, the American sports action brand, and Aape by A Bathing Ape, the Japanese streetwear brand, have collaborated to produce four sets of ready-to-wear outfits that emphasize the heritage of both brands.
Starting with footwear, Vans’ classic silhouettes, Sk8-Hi and Authentic, are now available in Bolt Blue and Bolt Pink versions, featuring Aape’s signature camo pattern on the uppers. These shoes are further enhanced with bolt-shaped outsoles bearing the Aape logo on the heel counters and outsoles.
Each of these shoe silhouettes comes with corresponding AAPE apparel sets, including oversized and cozy outerwear, long-sleeve t-shirts, pants, and various headgear options.
Notable pieces within this collection include an oversized fuzzy camo cardigan in shades of brown, ape-patterned light-wash jeans, a graphic white t-shirt with the Aape logo, and a vest with a checkered pattern of green and pink.
