LOOK: Foot Locker PH opens first-ever store just in time for the holidays
Here’s what to expect from the flagship boutique
Back in August, it was announced that Foot Locker will be opening its first-ever store in the country. This Dec. 16, it’s finally happening as the brand opens its doors to Filipinos just in time for the holidays.
“We are incredibly excited to bring our love of sneakers to the Philippines,” said Natalie Ellis, general manager and vice president at Foot Locker Asia Pacific. “The opening of our first Power Store marks an important milestone as we continue to create unrivaled experiences for our customers across the globe.”
The “Power Store” boasts 1,435 square-meters of retail space that offers the best sneaker brands from around the world like New Balance, Converse, Nike, Adidas, and more. The space also provides a dedicated lounge area for the ladies and kids as well as special interactive zones perfect for sneaker-lovers in the family.
Aside from footwear alone, Foot Locker Philippines also looks forward to supporting and engaging local sneaker, dance, basketball, and local sports communities, both for its pre-opening activities and moving forward. In line with this, Foot Locker teamed up with local illustrator and artist @GoRaiseHell by Raizel Go to create an artistic touch to the visual elements of the Glorietta “Power Store.” Additionally, local photographer Jilson Tiu collaborated with Foot Locker to feature urban Filipino scenery which can also be seen in the store.
Nicholas Jones, CEO of MAP Active (PT Map Aktif Adiperkasa Tbk), said that MAPA is highly enthusiastic to be able to open Foot Locker stores in the Philippines. “This is a strategic step to expand and strengthen our network in marketing well-known sneaker brands with a variety of innovative and latest product variants to answer the needs of the Indonesian market. The collaboration with a local artist and a photographer is also proof of our seriousness in working on the potential of the Philippine market with various local wisdoms,” said Nicholas.
Consumers who prefer to shop online would also be accommodated as the brand plans to launch its official website http://www.footlocker.ph/ soon.
The Foot Locker “Power Store” is located on the 2nd floor of Glorietta 3, Ayala Center, Makati.
