Relive these iconic slasher films in fashionable silhouettes
‘Frankenstein,’ ‘The Bride of Frankenstein,’ and ‘The Mummy’ come alive in Levi’s new collection
It’s official: Halloween is upon us and there’s no better way to celebrate the feast than serve some spooky looks as a prelude to your All Hallow’s Eve costume.
This Halloween, Universal Pictures which brought us “Frankenstein” (1931), “The Bride of Frankenstein” (1935), and “The Mummy” (1932), teams up with equally iconic brand Levi’s for a capsule that celebrates some of the greatest monsters to ever appear on the silver-screen.
The Universal Monsters x Levi’s collection features a lineup of denim, t-shirts, sweats, tops, and accessories that combines classic Levi’s silhouettes with archival graphics from the original posters of these pictures from Universal Monsters.
Each piece in the collection mixes a color scheme of black and white, along with some pops of neon. The line also features sharp graphics plus surprise details like glow-in-the-dark prints and sundries that come alive at night. As an ode to these scary silver-screen legends, co-branded elements also include a special-edition back patch, Levi’s tab, plus a woven neck label that are all black and white and are all glow-in-the-dark.
Our top picks from the collection include a black rinse Levi’s Trucker with a back graphic of Frankenstein’s monster, a black crew sweatshirt with a graphic of the original poster for “The Bride of Frankenstein,” and a hoodie with an all-over print featuring all of the Universal Monsters. There’s also a white Stay Loose Carpenter pant with Monster graphics plus a black rinse 501 jean with a giant graphic of “The Bride of Frankenstein.” For accessories, we love the bucket hat and the Levi’s bags all featuring graphics from the films.
