NYFW Spring 2023: Lil Nas X’s first-ever runway walk for Coach
The ‘Montero’ singer is the newest ambassador of the house
There’s always a first time for everything. First times may not always turn out good but runway first-timer Lil Nas X killed it, as he debuted his walk at Coach’s spring 2023 show during New York Fashion Week.
The American fashion house earlier revealed that the artist will be joining the house as an ambassador and they seem so proud about the appointment. “Yes, that was #LilNasX walking his first runway show with yet another of his bold and iconic expressions,” captioned Coach on their Instagram post. During the spring 2023 show finale, the artist was seen wearing a leather-on-leather ensemble including a patchwork vest and short shorts with belt details. The look was completed with a gold jelly purse and purple jelly sandals.
Although a Coach runway noob, Lil Nas X has been rocking Coach pieces as he’s been dressed by the brand for his “Long Live Montero” tour which kicked off last week. The artist collaborated with Stuart Vevers, Coach’s creative director, for six bespoke looks for the tour.
Lil Nas X also performed during NYFW Vogue World—a celebration of the magazine’s 130th year—which was a runway show featuring a collection of looks from labels like Balenciaga, Dior, Gucci, Valentino, Coach, and Burberry. During the runway presentation, Lil Nas X was seen with Serena Williams, Shalom Harlow, Joan Smalls, Paloma Elsesser, Gigi and Bella Hadid who also walked the runway.
Quite recently, the artist has also been appointed by YSL Beauty as their latest beauty ambassador.
