LOOK: COS drops new vibrant collection in collaboration with artist Lea Colombo
Inspired by her relationship with color
One doesn’t have to stick with neutrals to stay minimalist. This is what the latest drop from Collection of Style or simply COS proved as the brand released a collection inspired by color through the lens of photographer Lea Colombo.
Lea is an artist, photographer, and director born in Cape Town, South Africa who is known for her intimate images and color play in photography. She’s worked with prestigious titles in the industry, designer brands, and now, she’s been tapped by COS for a capsule celebrating timelessness, color, and style.
“COS came to me and were really interested in all my floral prints and colors, so our conversation started there,” shares Lea in her interview with COS magazine. “I curated a few specific designs and put together a selection that would be applied to both men’s and women’s, which I thought was amazing. COS is usually quite minimal so I was really excited by the direction we were taking and so was the team. It’s coming back to what we were talking about around color and people’s reactions, it was this immediate ‘wow’.”
With 12 pieces in total, the collection comprises womenswear and menswear including shirt, sarong, t-shirts, skirts, dresses, shorts, and hats all sporting the images Lea created in the darkroom.
