The ‘Squid Game’ star is now a Gucci global ambassador
It’s undeniable that the success of Netflix’s “Squid Game” is up to the roof. The series has also catapulted the careers of its actors worldwide. Last October 2021, model-turned-actress HoYeon Jung was appointed as Louis Vuitton’s global ambassador; and now fellow actor JungJae Lee joins Gucci gang as the newest global ambassador.
In a post made by Gucci on Instagram, the fashion house welcomed the actor saying, “Jungjae Lee @from_jjlee joins Gucci as new global brand ambassador. The actor appears in a portfolio of images shot by photographer Janghyun Hong @hongjanghyun wearing a selection of #GucciAria looks and accessories.”
Gucci Aria collection was launched back in April 2021 which was a celebration of the house’s centennial year. This also marked the joining of forces between Demna Gvasalia of Balenciaga and Gucci’s Alessandro Michele for a capsule collection.
On a campaign shot by Janghyun Hong, Jungjae wore three looks from the Aria collection. First is a dark blazer embossed with Gucci’s monogram paired with black trousers and Gucci bag, second was a double-breasted suit accented with feather sleeves, and third was a green velvet suit paired with brown with green detail loafers.
