For his spring-summer 2022 collection, Giorgio Armani revisits Via Borgonuovo, the place where it all began for the Italian fashion house. This lets the designer explore once again “the idea of clothing that frees instead of constricting, increasingly moving away from formality, and decisively embracing the informality of sportswear.”
Giorgio assembles a well-coordinated line of summer staples including “an evening shirt with a stand-up collar, a denim jacket-like cut combined with trousers with darts made in the same pinstripe wool, a gilet-jacket with Bermuda shorts.” Imbued with a sense of lightness, the capsule makes use of weightless materials that fluidly shape and caress the body.
