Acne Studios launches new collection with repurposed textiles
On its third season, Acne Studios presents pieces made with repurposed fabrics from the house’s past collections.
With the brand’s move into being a more circular company, Acne Studios releases another sustainable collection. The capsule consists of genderless pieces with psychedelic design for the hiking world. Fashionable yet functional, the offering features tie-dye patterns on light and heavy weight nylon and cotton fabrics.
Outerwear like parkas are offered in deep red textiles while polos, t-shirts, and shorts are offered in hues of green with also highlighted with yellow tones. The 12-piece collection is also complemented with accessories including socks and caps dipped in tie-dye.
Jonny Johansson, Acne Studios creative director, also shares a few words regarding the collection saying, “Acne Studios was founded on design experimentation, and today we want to use our creativity to take positive steps towards becoming more mindful.”
The said pieces will be available in Acne Studios selected stores and website, and with an exclusive offering via Mr. Porter.
