LOOK: Adidas Originals teams up with Disney for new Stan Smith sneakers
Adidas has been actively changing their sneaker game with more sustainable options. With the launch of their Primegreen material (a fabric which contains no virgin plastic), the sportswear brand is keeping it more fun, renewable, and fashionable with new Disney collaboration.
For this latest team up, the Adidas x Disney collection highlights one of its beloved stars, Kermit, The Frog, as a key iteration design for its iconic white court sneaker, Stan Smith, Forever. For this version, Kermit’s name is embossed on the heel and his portrait printed on the left tongue, as well as co-branded sock liners, and the phrase “It’s Not Easy Being Green” embossed across both heel tabs.
The collection also features more sustainable takes on the silhouette inspired by a number of Disney, Pixar, and Marvel lovable characters including Rex from Toy Story, Tinker Bell from Peter Pan, WALL-E, The Hulk, and Mike Wazowski from Monsters, Inc.
All of the pairs in the collection feature unique details in references to the characters such as graphic outsoles, embossed details, bold graphics, playful prints, and additional lace options which come together with the box. Every pair is composed of Primegreen uppers atop recycled rubber outsoles.
Adidas Originals’ sustainable journey with Disney is now available in select retailers worldwide.
