Including collabs with A Cold Wall and Golf Wang
A number of Converse silhouettes are sporting new looks with the drop of collaborations from different artists and brands including A Cold Wall, Golf Wang, multi-disciplinary media company PGLang and Beyond Retro.
A futuristic design takes form in the Converse x A Cold Wall link-up starring the CX silhouette. This Aeon active CX sneaker is designed by Samuel Ross and centers on the future of comfort with Converse’s CX technology all while donning an avant-garde design in colors of red, gray, and seafoam green.
Golf Wang puts a playful twist on Chuck 70s for its collaboration with Converse. Introducing Golf Wang by You, shoppers can customize their own pair using designs and colors by Tyler, The Creator. Design includes motifs and logos of Golf Wang in different fonts plastered on Chuck 70s silhouette in varied colorways.
Kendrick Lamar and business partner Dave Free, who founded multi-disciplinary media company PGLang, also puts a spin on the Chuck 70 and Pro Leather. For their design, they took a more minimalistic approach in redesigning the silhouettes. Instead of plastic eyelets for the laces, silver D-rings are added, giving the sneakers a more premium look. Both silhouettes feature white and cream colorways and contrast stitch detailing on the upper.
For Beyond Retro’s design, the UK-based vintage fashion retailer focused on making the Chuck 70 more sustainable. The Converse Renew models are given a new look mixing and matching upcycled suiting shirts for the upper, 100 percent recycled polyester laces, and rubber outsoles made of 12 percent recycled rubber.
