Sweet Structure: Jaggy Glarino turns Toblerone into couture

The designer translates Toblerone Truffles’ diamond form into sculptural silhouettes for Philippine Fashion Week

Jaggy Glarino has never been afraid to challenge convention. The visionary designer, known for reimagining masculinity through fluid silhouettes and experimental tailoring, brings his unique perspective to an unexpected muse, Toblerone Truffles. The newest innovation from the iconic chocolate brand marks a first in its 116-year history: moving beyond its classic triangle to a striking diamond shape. Each truffle features a smooth milk chocolate shell with a velvety center of honey and almond nougat, redefining indulgence with every bite.

For Philippine Fashion Week, Toblerone and Jaggy came together under the theme “Diamond Heist”—a celebration of the brand’s “Never Square” philosophy that champions originality and creative self-expression.

The designer’s five-piece collection blended sharp tailoring with fluid drapery in earthy and copper tones, evoking the warmth and depth of chocolate. Deconstructed jackets, bold cutouts, and sculptural forms mirrored the diamond facets of Toblerone Truffles, translating the confection’s luxurious spirit into couture form.

Alongside Jaggy, designers Ram Silva and Jerome Salaya Ang presented equally indulgent interpretations: Ram’s deep plums and maroons explored the quiet power of femininity, while Jerome’s sculpted organza and leather pieces embodied transformation. Together, their works brought Toblerone’s “Never Square” mantra to life, proving that whether in fashion or chocolate, true indulgence lies in daring to be different.
