Koyxa on living the dream, staying fit, and owning his sexy
With his androgynous face and sculpted physique, Koyxa effortlessly embodies the modelesque features that others strive for. At 22, this Brazilian beauty was practically born into fitness—his family has always had a passion for sports. But it’s his dad, a former ballet dancer, martial artist, and bodybuilder, who truly inspired him to stay fit and focused.
Starting his modeling career at 19, Koyxa quickly found himself traveling the world, living the dream. Yet, the highs and lows of the industry made him realize that exercise wasn’t just about looking good—it was his way of staying mentally and physically strong. In our exchange, Koyxa opens up about his fitness routine and summer essentials.

How do you keep fit?
I play football and skate, but I also hit the gym twice a day. First, I lift weights, then I do cardio later. This way, I have enough time to recover and put in the effort needed for each routine.
How do you stay motivated?
I want to look good, feel good, and working out helps me do that. It boosts both my body and my mind.

What’s the downside of staying fit?
I can’t drink or eat as much as I’d like. I love chocolate, so I indulge every now and then. But it’s good practice for me to have self-control—it’s all about balance.
Nicest thing about being fit:
I love maintaining my body because it’s essential for my career. My job is my dream, and I want to be the best at it. Plus, I believe we owe it to ourselves to look our best. Confidence is magnetic—it changes how people see you.
How do you define sexy?
Sexy is about being authentic. People trying too hard to be sexy just aren’t. It’s all about being comfortable in your own skin.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
Drinking is my guilty pleasure, but I’ve been staying sober for weeks now, which feels great.
Any tips for a summer body?
You know what’s bad for your body. For me, its sweets, junk food, and fast food so I stay away from those. Focus on eating plenty of protein and exercise as much as you can.
Summer essentials:
I can’t go without my phone. I love capturing moments from everyday life in photos.
Ideal perfect summer day?
A sunny day at the beach, hanging with friends, and soaking up the sun. If you’re not thirsty, you’re not having enough fun.
What body part are you most proud of?
My jawline and also, I think my humor is a standout. I’m sarcastic and love a good, silly joke. I like to keep things light and fun.

Teach us a Portuguese expression that we can use this summer. And what does it mean?
Tesão” (teh-zow) is a great choice for a summery Portuguese expression! While its direct translation is “lust,” it carries a much broader, more vibrant meaning in Brazil. Think of it as a supercharged “excitement,” “enthusiasm,” or even “passion.” Summer in Brazil, with its heat, beaches, and festive atmosphere, definitely evokes that feeling of “tesão”—a zest for life and all it offers. So, if you’re feeling that summer spark, you can say, “Estou com tesão!” (esh-toh kohm teh-zow), meaning “I’m feeling that excitement/zest!
What are you most proud of about being Brazilian?
I’m most proud of Brazil’s vibrant diversity – a beautiful mix of cultures, traditions, and people that creates an energy unlike anywhere else. It’s a place where joy, music, and genuine connection thrive.
