Everyone who showed up looking ‘Superfine’ at the Met Gala 2025

“Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” was the theme that set the tone for the 2025 Met Gala, co-chaired by Anna Wintour alongside a powerhouse panel: LeBron James, A$AP Rocky, Lewis Hamilton, Pharrell Williams, and Colman Domingo. The event unfolded in grand style at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

During the official press conference, Colman Domingo invoked the words of playwright George C. Wolfe: “God created Black people and Black people created style.” It was the perfect quote for a night that paid homage to the art of Black dandyism and tailored elegance.

As for the red carpet? It delivered — mostly. Industry heavyweights and rising stars alike brought their interpretations of the theme, some more memorable than others.

Teyana Taylor, Chance the Rapper, and Lewis Hamilton were undeniable standouts, each embodying the spirit of “Superfine” with bold precision and flair. Hats off to them.
