Freedom in movement: The power of comfort and self-expression

‘White Lotus’ actor Parker Posey stars in new Gap campaign

Movement is more than just action—it’s a statement of freedom, identity, and confidence. This spring, Gap’s “Feels like Gap” campaign, starring Parker Posey, celebrates effortless self-expression through dance, fashion, and music.

Known for her fearless individuality, Parker embodies the joy of movement. The campaign highlights how soft, versatile essentials empower free expression. “Feeling comfortable is the ultimate confidence,” said Mark Breitbard, President and CEO at Gap. “Our spring collection with softer-than-ever essentials is designed to empower you to move freely and authentically. True style starts with feeling good in what you wear – Parker is unapologetically herself – a true Gap original who inspires others to embrace their originality.”

Gap’s Spring 2025 lineup focuses on soft fabrics, relaxed silhouettes, and versatile styling. Featuring VintageSoft sweats and UltraSoft denim, made from a cotton-Tencel blend, the collection ensures flexibility and breathability without compromising durability or style.

Directed by female creatives, including photographer Amy Troost and director Talia Collis, the campaign captures Posey dancing freely alongside a diverse group. Set to Mette’s song “Mama’s Eyes,” the 90-second spot conveys a powerful message of confidence and self-acceptance.

Today, fashion is about function and feeling as much as aesthetics. Gap’s campaign reinforces that clothing should move with you, allowing your true self to shine.

“Confidence is a feeling, a feeling that you’re free to be your best self. When I got to work for the Gap on this shoot, it reminded me of my early days being carefree and comfortable in clothes, and dancing how we wanted,” said Parker. “I was inspired to see the next generation keeping that spirit alive — it was cool and optimistic.”
