Fuschia Ann Ravena, Fifth Solomon, Kate Jagdon celebrate Pride 2023 with new Converse campaign
The brand invites everyone to its Pride event this month
This year, as Converse Philippines celebrates Pride Month, the brand further supports the LGBTQIA+ community by honoring a diverse range of individuals representing the community for their latest campaign.
Dubbed “Proud to Be,” the campaign features free, unapologetic, and proud members of the LGBTQIA+ community, including Miss International Queen Fuschia Ann Ravena, drag queen Brigiding, director and actor Fifth Solomon, DJ Kate Jagdon, influencers Antonio Estevens, Kush Obusan, and Shainna Gayle, as well as former Nylon editor Angelo De Cartagena.
In the spirit of the celebration, Converse has also released a pride collection that incorporates the Progress Pride Flag stitched into the tongue of each shoe. The collection includes the Run Star Legacy CX, Chuck 70 De Luxe Heel, Chuck 70 Plus, Chuck 70, Chuck Taylor All Star Lift, and Chuck Taylor All Star, along with an assortment of apparel. Each silhouette is adorned with unique embellishments, such as Pride laces woven through the Run Star Legacy CX, rainbow outsoles anchoring the Chuck 70 Plus, and a chunky glitter upper on the recently introduced Chuck 70 De Luxe Heel.
In addition to the special capsule, on June 17, the brand will host an event called Glitter Gala, which will celebrate the community with special performances by Brigiding and DJ Kate Jagdon. The event will take place at the Brooklyn Warehouse Manila and is open to the public.
The Converse Proud to Be Collection is available on Converse.ph and at Converse stores nationwide.
