Marni and Carhartt WIP go stylishly funky for inaugural collab
Featuring contemporary workwear codes with a light-hearted approach
What do you get when Marni and Carhartt WIP (Work In Progress) come together? An original workwear collection that’s perfect for everyday luxury wear guised in muted colors, prints, shapes. Plus, a whole lot of fun flair for the new fashion season.
Recently, the Italian luxury fashion house announced its first collaboration with American workwear brand, Carhartt WIP. Creative director of Marni, Francesco Risso, who is also responsible for the brand’s collaboration with Veja, now delivers eye-catching psychedelic visuals for this latest collaboration.
With the use of two-toned all-over clover print, color-blocking techniques, mixed textures and materials in archetypal workwear, the collection presents a fresh take on utilitarian pieces both for men and women.
A few standouts in the collection are the tri-colored shearling and soft leather overshirt, pullover in wool and silk with co-branded Marni and Carhartt WIP logo, yellow floral coordinates, floral printed sneakers with Marni branding on the midsole, and a green shopper.
