LOOK: Polo Ralph Lauren teams up with Beams
Featuring designs with subtle yet recognizable details
Contemporary Japanese fashion chain Beams gets inspired by classic Polo Ralph Lauren campaigns for a new collection. The brands team up for a collaboration called Polo Ralph Lauren x Beams Exclusive collection No. 7, which will be dropping first week of February.
“For this time, we were inspired by Polo Ralph Lauren’s one of the most iconic ad campaigns from the 90’s called ‘The Polo Big Collection,’ shares Beams on their Instagram. “The famous Polo Pony is arranged in multi colors and blue to commemorate the Beams exclusivity. This motif is featured in every item in this collection to introduce the new American traditional style in fashion. From Polo Ralph Lauren’s classics to the brand new items, we have gathered and created a special collection that reflects Beams’ passion towards this collaboration.”
For this collaboration, the classic pieces are given a more relaxed and oversized fit. The Polo Pony embroideries are also moved in different locations. For the shirt, the embroidery which is usually seen on the chest area will be seen on the hemline instead. For pants, embroidery can be seen near the knee, while the Polo logo on the cap is moved to the back from the front.
