LOOK: Gucci announces partnership with animated celebrity creator Superplastic
We’re guessing it’s gonna be super fun too!
Gucci had an exciting 2021 and hosted remarkable collaborations with the likes of The North Face, 100 Thieves, and its hack with Balenciaga. As we enter the new year, the Italian luxury house announces a new collaboration, a first of its kind with Superplastic’s celebrities Janky and Guggimon.
Superplastic is one of the top creators of animated celebrities, toys, and other digital collectibles who have worked with the likes of J. Balvin, Rico Nasty, and Gorillaz in the past.
Founded by Paul Budnitz, the brand first introduced its celebrities Janky and Guggimon who are “internet phenomena, fashion influencers, and content creators,” as presented by Superplastic. Janky is said to be “a self-proclaimed streetwear icon, achieved by dumpster diving for discarded ‘fits on movie sets and outside of celebrities’ homes in Beverly Hills” while Guggimon is “a fashion horror artist, axe collector, and DJ.” Also, Superplastic announced two new celebrities, Dayzee and Staxx, joining their world.
Gucci retweeted the post saying, “Something super is about to happen – Janky and Guggimon will tell you more soon.”
Stay tuned on their socials for more information about the newest collab.
