LOOK: This Pac-Man watch collab brings major nostalgia
Nope, we’re not talking about the boxer
Two legendary Japanese brands link up for a playful and lighthearted collaboration inspired by the iconic arcade game Pac-Man. Meet the special Casio Vintage and Bandai Entertainment Inc. collaboration.
Pac-Man, the award-winning game which was first released in the 1980s, is giving its “Eat!” concept to Casio’s vintage watch model. “Immerse yourself in the nostalgia of one of the world’s first blockbuster video games. Details on the watch glass hint at the exciting chase about to unfold as Pac-Man, surrounded in the square LCD display ghost house, is poised to start running,” shares the brand.
The Casio A100WEPC features the game’s colorful graphics, complete with characters and even details of the maze. As the face design of the watch sports a gold-plated case where Pac-Man, the fruits, and the ghosts can be seen. The stainless steel band features a black and gold laser engraving which mimics the game’s maze.
The original game screen graphics can also be seen on the case back of the watch while the packaging design evokes classic arcade machines making the whole package a through and through blast from the past experience.
