This year, the Qixi Festival a.k.a. Chinese Valentine’s Day is happening next month, August 14, 2021 and Louis Vuitton has just launched a special drop to celebrate it.
Charlie, the first-ever couple sneaker from the fashion house, is now available! Not only does this mark a first for the French fashion house, this sneaker is also the first eco-designed shoe boasting 90 percent sustainable materials.
The upper of the sneakers is crafted from a mix of recycled and bio-based materials while the outsoles feature recycled rubber. This Chinese Valentine’s Day exclusive sneaker also features a choice of gold or silver accessory that forms the perfect monogram charm when interlocked with another pair. The LV initials can be seen on the tongue, side, and outsoles while the iconic monogram canvas trim can be seen on the tongue and heel.
