Zip it and take our money!
We are not seeing the end of collaborations from big names in streetwear and sportswear anytime soon. In fact, Comme des Garçons (CdG) once again expands its Nike partnership. With the launch of the coveted CdG Homme Plus x Nike Air Carnivore back in its spring-summer 2021 presentation earlier this year, the team-up recently launched another style in the form of the Nike Air Sunder Max.
Just like the Nike Air Carnivore, this silhouette also originates from the ‘90s as inspired by basketball shoes. With a few design distinctions across each colorway of White/Black, Triple White, and Triple Black, the CdG Homme Plus x Nike Air Sunder Max boasts of a smooth nylon upper, nubuck leather, “HOMME PLUS” branded tongue, and a miniature Swoosh beside a zipper lacing.
The collaboration sneakers were first seen at Rei Kawakubo’s show in Tokyo, paired with her inspiration drawn from florals for men. The collection unveiled non-gender conforming pieces of tailcoats, motorcycle and blazer jackets, skorts, and jumpsuits.
