Establishments welcome back their members with limited capacity operations
In a report by Manila Bulletin today, June 11, 2021, the Inter-agency Task Force announced “gyms, fitness studios, other indoor-non contact sports allowed in NCR+ at 30 percent venue capacity.”
Through a statement, Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque said the IATF allowed limited operations of gyms, fitness studios, skating rinks, and racket sports courts with safety seal certifications.
“One of the things that will be discussed are the reopening of gyms because people like me who are fat ever since are getting fatter because gyms are closed,” Roque said in Filipino.
Last March 2021, the government imposed a stricter quarantine classification in the National Capital Region which led to the temporary closure of businesses including gyms.
