LEVI’S UNVEILED FALL 2018 COLLABORATION WITH JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE
OCTOBER 8
Levi’s recently launched its collaboration with Justin Timberlake, and Levi’s x Justin Timberlake Fresh Leaves is a modern take on the denim brand’s iconic pieces, mixed in with Timberlake’s current Lumberjack/Man of the Woods aesthetic.
Fresh Leaves was named such to refer to Timberlake’s belief that he can offer a fresh spin on something as timeless as a pair of jeans for the younger generation. “Clothes are as important to a musician’s creative process and performance as the music itself. This Levi’s collection is my attempt to share some of my experiences with fans,” he said in a statement.
The capsule collection features streetwear pieces and plays with their proportions: over-sized and longer lengths. The iconic Levi’s Red Tab and signature “Two Horse Pull” leather patch both feature black writing, which are unique branding elements exclusive to this collection. Key pieces include the 501® Slim Taper, the newest member of the 501® Family that was inspired by how Timberlake wears his jeans. Another standout is the denim camo Trucker jacket, with the pattern printed using the brand’s recently launched Project FLX digital laser technology.
WEST ELM OPENED ITS SECOND STORE
OCTOBER 9 | Bonifacio High Street
The Brooklyn-born furniture and home decor retailer West Elm opened its newest store at Central Square in Bonifacio High Street four years after opening its first Philippine location at Estancia in Capitol Commons.
The new West Elm Central Square store is highly Instagrammable, to say the least. It prominently features the brand’s Fall 2018 collection: Manhattan living that is inspired by a modern look; “organic architecture” inspired by the idea of clean, pure lines and colors; and Italy’s mid-century bohemian luxe vibe inspired by a global theme.
