Johnnie Walker offers exciting products and exclusive activities this Christmas
The past two years have not been easy on anyone. For those who kept walking and progressed despite the hardships and limitations of a pandemic, Johnnie Walker celebrates you this holiday season. The liquor company also toasts to those who have been present throughout one’s milestones by gifting them with a bottle of Johnnie Walker.
For its Christmas campaign, the brand fronts musician and actor James Reid in an inspiring short film that’s part of its global campaign to promote progress in all its forms. In the video, James tackles how he chose to defy expectations to pursue his life passions with recording label Careless Music.
In this journey, James surrounded himself with people who have been instrumental to his success. “I resonate with the message of the video so much because it’s what my story has been about and I have many, many people to thank,” the 28-year-old muses. “I hope this Christmas season, and even beyond that, this video encourages people to remember, celebrate, and raise a glass to those who have stood by them and to those who continue to keep walking with them.”
This outlook syncs with the very ethos of Johnnie Walker. “For over two centuries now Johnnie Walker has been a favorite gift to give and to receive; and to be able to marry it in this video with what the brand stands for, which is progress, is a very powerful thing,” shares Merell Beltran, marketing manager for Culture andAdvocacy of Diageo Philippines. “James Reid is an icon in the country, and we couldn’t have thought of a better individual to present this story.”
Premiering tonight, Dec. 17, 2021, on YouTube, the Scotch brand also lines up a special 45-minute live performance of James with She’s Only Sixteen and Loner. “Before the pandemic hit, the holidays were the liveliest times in the year. During this time bars would be teeming with merrymakers enjoying the company of friends with good music and a glass of Johnnie Walker in hand. Johnnie Walker wants to revitalize this thriving cultural scene and this concert is a step towards that,” Merell continues.
In the spirit of Christmas gift-giving, Johnnie Walker partners with various bars in the metro to give back to their favorite bar staff. When you order a limited-edition Johnnie Walker Highball, 20 percent of the proceeds will be donated to 17 participating bars. The liquor brand also offers gift packs with its Red Label, Black Label, Double Black, Gold Label Reserve, and 18 Year Old.
