Logan De Leon Culp has more than a crown up his sleeve
The Mister Universe Philippines 2026 titleholder is a boxer, self-professed nerd, future lawyer, and proud Filipino-Canadian heading to Los Angeles
There’s something slightly unexpected about Logan De Leon Culp. He has the face, physique, and presence of a pageant titleholder, but his interests read more like the résumé of someone you’d meet in a university library than backstage at a competition.
The newly crowned Mister Universe Philippines 2026 graduated from the University of Toronto in June 2026 with degrees in criminology and political science. He calls himself “a huge nerd,” with plans to attend law school and eventually work alongside his parents and brother, who are all lawyers.
Now, though, his focus is on the international stage. After winning the Multimedia fast-track challenge and taking the Mister Universe Philippines title on August 2, 2026, Logan is preparing to represent the Philippines at the Mister Universe competition in Los Angeles from November 22–29, 2026.

Raised in Canada with Filipino roots, Logan sees the competition as an opportunity to reconnect with the Philippines while bringing the perspective of someone who grew up around immigrant communities.
“I am bringing a genuine desire to represent where I come from,” he says. “I’m bringing the perspective of someone who grew up in Canada with Filipino roots, spent years around immigrant communities, and is now reconnecting with the Philippines in a much deeper way.”
For Logan, representation isn’t simply about wearing a sash. His family, faith, boxing, and the communities he has worked with have helped keep him grounded when the cameras are off. It’s a perspective that gives his pageant journey a little more substance than the usual polished competition narrative.
It’s also why he doesn’t seem particularly interested in choosing just one version of himself. Student, boxer, Filipino-Canadian, pageant candidate and future lawyer may sound like separate identities, but Logan sees them as parts of the same story.

“I’ve never really fit into just one box and I stopped trying to,” he says. “I don’t have to choose one version of myself. I can bring all of them to the stage.”
Now, he’s taking all of those versions to Los Angeles. The crown may have gotten him there, but Logan’s story is considerably bigger than the title.
We already know he can work a pageant stage. But what does Logan look like when the sash comes off? Here, he gets into the gym, grooming, food, fragrance, and the slightly unexpected things he’s packing for Los Angeles.
Be honest: what’s your gym split right now?
Push, pull, legs with boxing mixed in. But honestly, boxing keeps me humble. I can walk into the gym feeling strong and confident, then spend an hour getting humbled by a heavy bag. My goal isn’t just to look athletic but to be able to actually perform like an athlete.
What’s the one food you refuse to cut out during pageant prep?
I refuse to cut out my favorite dish, kare-kare. I just focus on portions and the overall balance of my diet. I’d rather be consistent than miserable.

What scent do you want people to associate with you?
Something clean, masculine, and slightly woody. I want it to smell like someone who just came from the gym, showered, put on a good outfit, and is ready to go somewhere. Ideally fresh but still memorable, not the kind of fragrance that enters the room five minutes before I do.
What’s always in your grooming kit?
Eyebrow tweezers. I’m blessed to have thick eyebrows, but that also means it can get messy with hairs growing in between my eyebrows. To prevent having a unibrow, I always have tweezers in my kit.
What’s one accessory you never leave home without?
One of my necklaces. The one I’ve been wearing the most recently is a brown puka-style necklace I got in Boracay during the summer.

What’s the most “Logan” thing you’re packing for Los Angeles?
Boxing gloves. I’ve been looking into who I’m competing against in the pageant, and I know many contestants are boxers who have also competed as amateurs. I think doing rounds against other Mister Universe candidates would be fun, and I would like to show that Filipinos have the best hands.
