Celebrating a decade of its Portraits Collection, Penhaligon’s returns to Manila with a new noble in the family
There’s a new family in town. This September 2026, British fragrance house Penhaligon’s officially makes its Philippine debut with its first-ever counter at Rustan’s Shangri-La, coinciding with the 10th anniversary of its iconic Portraits Collection.
Known for turning fragrance into character studies, the Portraits family includes some of the house’s most recognizable scents, from The Tragedy of Lord George, with its warm rum, tonka bean, and ambrox, to The Blazing Mr Sam, a spicier blend of cedar and patchouli, and The Coveted Duchess Rose, a softer composition of rose, mandarin, and musk.
Now, the family welcomes The Baroness.
Created by perfumer Daphne Bugey, The Baroness is graceful, calculated, and quietly commanding. Incense and mandarin open the fragrance, giving way to orange blossom, geranium, sandalwood, cedarwood, and vanilla. Her character is less about demanding attention and more about knowing exactly when to make an entrance.
After all, she’s the original influencer: always watching, always one step ahead, and seemingly aware of everything before everyone else.
