WATCH: ‘70s disco sartorial looks at Fendi Men’s fall 2023

Silvia Venturini Fendi gave us the cold shoulder

Cozy, sexy, cool—these three words perfectly embodied the designs of Silvia Venturini Fendi for Fendi Men’s fall 2023 collection.

“By exploring the decadence of the city and the lights that sparkle after dark, lines are blurred between tough and traditional menswear silhouettes with a new soignée allure,” described the house for the inspiration behind the collection. Reminiscent of ‘70s disco, asymmetrical-cut tops flooded the runway in forms of cashmere, engineered leather, and jacquard silks while the room was filled with the iconic disco hit “I Feel Love” by Giorgio Moroder, Donna Summer, and Pete Bellotte.

Double-breasted overcoats featuring satin lapels, fringed hems, and metallic appliqué also took the spotlight together with larger-than-life Fendi logos woven into mohair scarves and blankets wrapped around the neck or thrown over the shoulders of the models.

For accessories, the iconic Peekaboo was presented with bold metallic strap hardware, sprayed shearling or harness detailing, while the Baguette was revisited in burnished leather with all-over utility pockets. On foot, Cuban heel boots featured the F logo on heels while moccasins and lace-up derbies free-flowed with a number of sneakers with mesh and transparent panels.

Just like a lot of the designers this season, Fendi also composed its collection in grays and blacks throwing shades of purple and brown into the mix. Watch the presentation below:
