Like a Boss: Khaby Lame earns new recognition as luxury brand creative

The newest Boss collaborator is now the most followed creator on Tiktok

Over the weekend, Charlie D’Amelio, the most followed and known creator on Tiktok for the longest time, was dethroned by Khaby Lame, a 22-year-old Senegalese comedian on the platform. 

Khaby is known for his comedy skits where he mocks overly complicated life hacks posted on the app. He stitches the original versions and makes them into his own with a funny twist. As of writing, Khaby has 144.3 million followers and 2.3 billion likes, cementing his spot on the platform.

Prior to this recognition, German luxury brand Hugo Boss announced a collaboration with the creator. The partnership features a limited-edition capsule embodying Boss’ signature pieces inspired by Khaby’s self-expression. 

“Celebrating this mindset and the spirit of being your own Boss, the capsule fuses dynamic Boss design with Khaby’s wit and bold self-expression. This exclusive collaboration is comprised of all-black styles with leather details and a signature logo depicting Khaby’s likeness,” described Boss.

The collection includes a t-shirt, a hoodie, a varsity jacket, and a doll of the social media star which he co-created himself and will be released on his social media channels. The doll can be both a standalone accessory or an attachment that can be snapped onto the hoodie.

The capsule was first released as a limited-edition collection available exclusively at the Boss store in San Babila, Milan. Today, the brand makes it globally available via Boss.com.
