Presenting Kean Etro’s last collection for the maison

Spring-summer 2023 was Kean Etro’s last collection for his namesake brand. By September this year, Marco De Vicenzo will take the lead in the house’s creative direction.

For this collection, Kean prolonged to tell a story through literature—an ongoing theme for his past collections. With the title “The Wild Power of Poetry,” the models presented dramatic silhouettes that helped achieve Kean’s vision for the presentation.

Key looks in the collection included fluid satins which draped the models’ bodies, billowy kaftans, see-through chiffons, crocheted vests, elongated shirts, and boxer shorts for the soft silhouettes. Muted mandarin collar shirts also appeared on the runway and other matching pieces with floral and paisley patterns.

For accessories, there were a couple of bucket bags carried by hand or the shoulder, soft hats in cream, and scarves in yellow. For footwear, the colors preferred were neutrals in either white, brown, sienna, and black,
