IN PHOTOS: New Balance gets a Scandinavian twist

The new collaboration is with Danish contemporary fashion brand Ganni

It’s fun, it’s Scandinavian, and it’s recycled too! The Ganni x New Balance 2002R is the newest offering the shoe brand is presenting for everyday life in the city.

Ganni garnered patrons in the fashion industry by giving the people access to luxurious and relaxed approaches to simple yet functional Scandinavian designs. The Copenhagen-based designer label partners with New Balance to give a reinterpreted version of the technical running model of New Balance back in 2010.

Featuring New Balance’s Abzorb midsole and N-ergy outsoles, this silhouette sports all-over Ganni logo printed on mesh panels and synthetic overlays which are from recycled content. The upper is made of at least 50 percent recycled content and at least one midsole or outsole material, and contains a minimum of three percent bio-based materials as described by the brand.

The Ganni x New Balance 2002R will come in two colorways of Rain Cloud with Island Green and Turtledove with Island Green which will be available April 13, 2022.
