Produced by Givenchy creative director Matthew M. Williams and lensed by photographer Heji Shin, Givenchy drops its global campaign for spring-summer 2022.

The campaign featured black and white photos imprinted with colorful brush strokes by American artist Josh Smith. For men, tailored outerwear, hoodies, distressed denim accessorized with lime green bags, and mallow footwear were the highlights. As for women, knit mini dresses and fringed party tops took the spotlight.

“It was incredible to partner so closely with Josh–someone whose electric work and unencumbered perspective I’ve long admired–on all aspects of this collection including this campaign. To me, his artistic vision represents Givenchy’s modern ethos, and I’m grateful that Josh has let me–and, now, so many others–fully step into and explore his world,” said Matthew.

In this campaign, Givenchy’s bag of the season, The Kenny, also took center stage worn by Kendall Jenner. The intricately constructed bourse-style bag is a day-to-evening piece which evokes the brand’s sophistication through hand-draped folds and embellishments in either solid color or in sparkly material.

The series of photos were also accompanied by a mixed-media video campaign filmed in Paris and Los Angeles, where models were seen wearing key looks from the spring-summer 2022 runway.
